Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Believe the negative reviews. I made an appointment online ahead of time for a tire patch. Took over 30 minutes for them to look at it and give me a quote, keep in mind, there was only one car being serviced at the time. The quote is $600 for 4 new tires. Just say all the tires are bad and can't be repaired. Hell no. Drove over to Firestone for them to take a look at it. They were full of customers and super busy. Still, only took them 10 minutes to look at it and get the quote back to me. They took the time to explain to me what the issue was, a nail was on the inside back tire, and also said all my tires needed replaced. Their quote for all new tires? $360. Save yourself the time and money and go to Firestone the first time.

WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!! I go here with a quote to put tires on that I bought online, and installation of all 4 TPMS PRE-Programmed sensors that I have specifically bought for my truck. I arrived at 12:30 pm, he said he can do it now. At 2:30 he comes to tell me my lug nuts need replaced. He can get 20 of them delivered, (because a tire place doesn't have lug nuts I guess?). I don't have a choice, because they have my truck. It's 3:07 pm and I haven't heard anything else. WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AVOID AT ALL COSTS I can get 24 new lug nuts at Walmart for 28.97. My estimated completion time changed from 2:15 until 3:45

UPDATED REVIEW AFTER 3 TRIPS IN FOR REPAIRS! We took our car in for a/c service. The check in process was quick and easy. The service took right about an hour, and was less than we had expected. We will definitely be back for other service in the future. UPDATE ON REVIEW. We ended up having to take the car back, because the A/C quit working a day and a half later. This time they said it need a new pressure valve, because it was leaking freon. They replaced it, recharged the system, and charged another $200+. The A/C quit working the next day again. Had to wait another week before they could look at it. They kept it all day, and said they couldn't find what was wrong with it, but added freon, and it started working. No charge this time thankfully, because it quit working later that night. I definitely do not recommend them for A/C work, because apparently they only work on them on Tuesday's, and they can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it.

Went in for the 9.99 ac check up. They told me my low side and high side pressures were low, but failed to tell me about the MASSIVE leak I have coming from the condenser. I was clearly able to see it without uv and they "recommended" me to do a full recharge that day, knowing damn well it would all just leak back out

Much appreciation to the Evansville, IN. Pep Boys team. The complete experience on 4/17/26 was very positive and they did an exceptional complete brake job on my MB. Daniel and the staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They kept me posted on the progress via text. I rated my experience with you guys with 5 stars. The car is driving great. I will refer you all to family and friends. Thank you, Talmadge Vick II
